Pan grate tripod, hand-forged

Pan grid for cooking over a campfire.
Used in this form by the Romans right up to the 19th century. Slight variations in size possible as handmade.

Height approx. 20 cm, leg length approx. 25 cm.

The surface may still show traces of forging soot and oil. We recommend cleaning the grate thoroughly before use or burning off the oil residue in the fire.
